Hanukkah Days of Giving

Temple Adas Shalom is proud to announce its 4th Annual Hanukkah Days of Giving Fundraiser. 

As you consider the role of Temple Adas Shalom in your end of year tzedakah, we ask that you help spread the light of Hanukkah, one candle at a time. For each day of Hanukkah, we will present a message of giving around one of eight Temple focus areas, with a respective incentive to donate in return. This means that each day we will offer you a gift or chance to win a gift with each donation you make. We feel that in the spirit of Hanukkah, giving back to you is just as important as it is to ask something from you. Once again this year we have been given the opportunity by a very generous donor to match all of our donations made, up to $10,000. This means if we meet our goal of $10,000, we will be able to have that amount matched for a total of $20,000.
Like last year we are providing the opportunity to select any or all of the giving opportunities throughout the 8 Days of Giving, and not limit to one day for each. In addition, we’ve extended the actual giving through the 17th. We realize this is longer than the Hanukkah holiday, but we want to give every opportunity for congregants (and others) to make the gift(s) of their choice, even if they miss an opportunity to log in on the day of their preferred gift. We have, once again, upgraded some of the incentives for the new year, so be sure to take a look at those as you go through each section.

We look toward the light and important messages of Hanukkah. We look to the message of hope and light that continues to shine not just for these next 8 days, but far beyond the days of Hanukkah. Your gift to the 8 Days of Giving helps to ensure that Temple Adas Shalom can continue to provide a home to Jews in Harford County and beyond, not just now but into the future.

Completing the Form 
As you go through this form there will be separate sections for each day of giving (1-8). Each section will allow you to choose whether or not you would like to participate in the giveaways for the day or if you would like to simply donate another amount and not receive the incentives. Please be sure that when you are entering the amounts you'd like to donate, that you double check your totals and have entered your amounts in the correct areas. Your total donation amount will be displayed at the bottom of this form for you to review, please make sure that this is the correct amount before submitting. Because this form includes all 8 days, this will be the one and only link you need to be able to participate (whether you submit it once or 8 times over).

Day One

For Day One of our Hanukkah Giving campaign, every donation increment of $72 or more will enter the donor into a raffle to choose one of the following charities, to receive a $50 donation in their honor. In this raffle, everyone is a winner, once all donations are tallied all donors for this day will receive an email asking which charity you would like donated to from the following list.
  • New Israel Fund 
  • Achim La’neshek (Brothers and Sisters in Arms)
  • NATAL, Israel's Trauma and Resiliency Center
  • Magen David Adom - Israel's Trauma and Resiliency Center
  • JNF-USA Aid to Israel

Day Two
Education
Lifelong learning with the Torah as our guide

For Day Two of our Hanukkah Giving campaign, every donation increment of $54 or more will enter the donor into a raffle to win one of three education based prizes, listed below.  
  • A $198 Scholarship to our Kehillah Magnet Religious School 
  • A $198 Scholarship to our Early Learning Center
  • A $25 Gift card to Barnes and Noble 
Three winners will be drawn, awarding more than $400 in prizes. 
*any scholarship winners are able to give their scholarship to a friend/family member or donate their scholarship to one of our students in need, if they do not wish to use those funds

Four winners will be drawn, totaling $100 in charitable donations.

For Day Four of our Hanukkah Giving campaign, every donation increment of $18 or more will enter the donor into a raffle to win a $25 gift card to either Kroh's or ShopRite.  

Four winners will be pulled totaling $100 in giveaways.

Day Five
Sisterhood & Brotherhood
The bonds of unity and friendship that last a lifetime

For Day Five of our Hanukkah Giving campaign, every donation increment of $54 or more will win the donor a 25% off coupon to our gift shop (some exclusions apply), every donation increment of $54 or more will enter the donor into a raffle to receive a free membership to Brotherhood (5 winners) or Sisterhood (1 winner).

One membership to Sisterhood and Five memberships to Brotherhood will be won but there is no limit to the number of coupons that can be won!

For Day Six of our Hanukkah Giving campaign, every donation increment of $54 or more will enter the donor into a raffle to win a ticket to this years Passover Second Night Seder (first two drawn) or a $25 gift card (next eight drawn).  

TEN winners will be pulled totaling over $250 in ticket and gift cards.

One gift card will be won, but unlimited book plates will be given!

For Day Eight of our Hanukkah Giving campaign, every donation increment of $36 or more will enter the donor into a raffle to win a free spot on our Super Bowl grid, every donation increment of $126 or more will enter the donor into a raffle to win a $100 gift card.
